Messages in Bottles

I heard somewhere in the news that a bottle was found in one of the Carolinas with a message in it. Apparently, the message was from 1969! In New York City! The bottle rode the currents all the way down to the Carolinas where a family on vacation found it on the beach. The person who sent off the bottle in 1969 was a fire fighter who worked in the New York Fire Department and enjoyed fishing. Unfortunately, the man died about 3 or 4 years ago. I thought it was cool that a regular person cast off a bottle with a message, which outlived himself. He kind of left a legacy by leaving the bottle. What would you write in a message that you were putting in a bottle?
